With “NO JUDGE,” I explore perception and the impulse to judge. The series depicts five archetypal animals—dog, octopus, monkey, cat, and tiger—covering their eyes, ears, or mouths. The familiar motif “Don’t see. Don’t hear. Don’t say.” is not understood as naive refusal, but as a conscious decision: Not every piece of information needs to be absorbed, not every opinion expressed, not every behavior judged. Each work consists of exactly 23 vertical lines of color. For me, the number 23 represents movement, change, and the tension between order and chaos. It unites structure and dynamism—two forces that are constantly at odds in human behavior as well. The vertical lines symbolize perspectives and diversity. The horizontal black bar in the middle acts as a boundary—between instinct and control, between stimulus and response. “NO JUDGE” is not a moral statement, but an attitude. It’s not about looking away, but about conscious restraint. Sometimes strength lies not in judgment, but in pausing. ...]
